Job Summary
Provides support to employees and managers on employee concerns ensuring adherence to policies and employment law in a healthcare setting. Evaluating employee relations issues and concerns and recommending appropriate resolution to management. Responsible for developing, implementing and administering the corrective action process assuring compliance with policies and laws affecting employees. Coordinating with management and recommending goals for all areas of employee relations. Will counsel employees, managers and groups to facilitate problem resolution. Conduct investigations as it relates to discriminations and harassment complaints. Coaches one or several individuals or teams on leadership, management, or a variety of subject areas. Meet with department leadership, employees or managers to give presentations on training and development of staff. Must be able to negotiate and collaborate with a variety of employees, managers and situations. Must be able to counsel effectively.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology or related field required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, may consider at least six years of applicable work experience.
Minimum one year experience in employee relations preferred. Working knowledge of human resources policies, practices, procedures, and federal and/or state employment law.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.
