GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the leadership of the Director, manage the Employee Relations function and staff for UAB Medicine (UAB Hospital, UAB Health System, and University of Alabama Health Services Foundation). In collaboration with HR professionals, Legal and others, conduct workplace investigations, determine findings, and facilitate timely resolution. Provide guidance and timely decisions for complex and escalated HR employee relations matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pay Range: $89,880 - $146,055
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Position requires Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource or related field and five (5) years of related work experience, including some HR leadership experience. Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Extensive experience and comfort with conflict resolution and complex HR investigations. Ability to synthesize and make appropriate decisions with large amounts of detailed information. Ability to build and sustain successful working relationships through trust, teamwork and communication.
