Employee Performance Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Employee Performance Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Employee Performance Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Performance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     • Adheres to, interprets, supports, and explains established company policies and procedures as well as applicable Local, State, Federal and other regulatory procedures.  
    • Fosters and maintains positive team member relations in a supportive environment and interfaces with other departments to ensure a harmonious working relationship. 
    • Continues professional development of self. 
    • Keeps accurate records of the gaming hold percentages and gives reliable recommendations on how to achieve and maintain our target denomination goals.  
    • Investigates potential problems on the gaming floor. 
    • Studies the relationships between different game types, product types, denomination types and handle. Use this information to setup up a game plan that will put the most popular and productive games on the slot floor. 
    • Constantly updates the slot master database and individual machine files after conversions to have accurate and current data on the floor at all times. 
    • Provides slot related reports to the Slot Management Team, Casino Ops Director, General Manager, and Corporate routinely and as requested. 
    • Studies, in detail, the competition’s gaming mix, denomination mix, floor layout, and hold percentages. Use this information to our advantage to influence guests to come to our facility. 
    • Develops strategies for increasing machine revenue.  
    • Assists in the tracking and replacing of revoked software and warehouse inventory. 
    • Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates. 
    • Conducts and attends all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings. 
    • Creates reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations regarding floor mix of slot machines, hold adjustments, and new game availability to consistently maximize the profitability of the slot floor. 
    • Responsible for all Slot analytics and openly communicates all pertinent information with leadership team. 
    • Approves machine and reel settings.  
    • Keeps current with trends within the hospitality, convention, restaurant, vacation, and travel industries. 
    • Responsible for management and oversight of all aspects of the administration of the Slot Department including slot maintenance, repair, modifications, moves, technical systems, equipment, and hardware. Directly responsible for managing slot performance property support activities inclusive of planning, procurement, installation implementation and ongoing support for all slot systems located at the property.

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in business or related field from four-year college or university; two or more years’ experience as a casino supervisor, slot supervisor; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.  
    • Two years’ experience in a Slot performance role, preferably as a bench technician, Tech III, or supervisor. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). 
    • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.   
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. 
    • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. 
    • Demonstrated intermediate level of competence in the areas of ambition, customer service, engagement, leadership, business reasoning and emotional intelligence. 
    • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. 
    • Responsible for staff development and training programs. 
    • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement. 
    • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regard to performance. 
    • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs.  
    • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow. 
    • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
