Employee Performance Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Employee Performance Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Employee Performance Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Performance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Job Summary

     

    Responsible for providing operational and administrative Human Resources support while ensuring a positive culture with emphasis on overall employee experience. Carries out administrative responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, departmental development, HRIS, orientation and training, onboarding, and administrative support.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Partners with human resources management to maintain a high performing work environment, where employees support each other to ensure the department’s effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
    • Responsible for handling a range of employee relations issues including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
    • Provide consistent and fair guidance and support to frontline leadership team and employees in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Act as a mediator for workplace issues and conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Promote various HR programs as necessary to create an efficient and effective work environment.
    • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare or update employment records as they relate to transfer, promotion, and termination.
    • Support HR generalist functions such as onboarding, offboarding and HR administration tasks as needed.
    • Conduct compliance audits and prepare detailed reports.
    • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all employee information.

     

    Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field required.
    • Requires 3 years of experience in employee relations, HR compliance, and generalist roles.
    • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
