Employee Performance Specialist develops, implements, and administers programs that evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance. Conducts assessment activities to evaluate and identify the current and emerging skills, competencies, and behaviors required to achieve desired organizational results and prepare for future needs. Being a Employee Performance Specialist designs performance management strategies and processes that measure outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and align teams to organizational goals. Identifies the types of training and development and resources needed to achieve workforce performance improvements. Additionally, Employee Performance Specialist encourages a culture of objective setting and result measurement aligned to pay and rewards using tools, training, and communication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Performance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Title: Training Specialist

    Department: Talent

    Reports To: Talent Manager

    Schedule: Business Hours, Monday through Friday plus outside hours as needed

    Location: Nonconnah

    FLSA Status: Non-exempt

    Pay Grade: 60

    Responsibilities

    Normal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve our members.
  • Facilitates both classroom and virtual training sessions for employee development according to FECA’s strategic and immediate training needs.
  • Maintains training calendar.
  • Ensures FECA’s training and content are current and accurate.
  • Maintains quarterly and annual reports on training and volunteering.
  • Identifies training gaps and recommends solutions.
  • Responsible for New Hire Training and coordinating in-department training for new hires and internal employment moves.
  • Responsible for targeted QA training for all employees.
  • Coordinates monthly Branch Meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining training room, including furniture configuration, technology, supplies, and refreshments.
  • Coordinates FECA-sponsored volunteer opportunities.
  • Supports strengthened relationship with FedEx Family as primary liaison between FECA and FedEx Family House for communication of volunteering and donation needs.
  • Must maintain strictly confidential information pertaining to the Credit Association, member, and employee business.
  • Maintains regulatory compliance including the Bank Secrecy Act.T
  • Follows the CARE and QA Service Standards and maintains excellent understanding of FECA products and services.
  • Participates in ongoing training for professional and personal development.
  • Maintains a positive, professional attitude and works well with a team.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of training and development experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Financial Institution experience preferred, including understanding of credit union philosophy and knowledge of credit union rules and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and basic math skills.
  • Must be highly polished and professional, modeling FECA company culture to the highest standard.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of training and development practices and methods, including needs assessment, applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, organizational development, and fundamentals of training evaluation.
  • Ability to travel if needed.
  • Must be accurate, organized, attentive to details, and manage time well.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Symitar, and various forms of technology, including the ability to teach these to others.
