Kitchen Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
Supervises: Volunteers
Time Commitment: Part time, 30 hours weekly
Summary: This position is responsible for the nutritional support for all the Community Dining Room, Inc. food programs. The purpose of our kitchen is to provide meals for participants. The kitchen is manned by a team of dedicated volunteers from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm Monday through Friday. The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing all aspects of kitchen operations, while maintaining high quality menu options and service levels. The Kitchen Coordinator is expected to maintain appropriate inventory and supply levels, create, and prepare menu items. The Kitchen Coordinator is further required to always ensure the safe and healthy preparation of meals and sanitation techniques to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages. Other duties may be required.
