Employee Development Specialist implements and supports programs aligned with leadership development strategy and strategic business imperatives to develop management capabilities throughout the workforce. Maintains frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities that are critical to long-term and short-term objectives. Being a Employee Development Specialist supports training, coaching, professional development, and experiential assignments that make up the leadership development strategy. Fosters a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training throughout the organization to engage and develop the workforce. Additionally, Employee Development Specialist promotes training and development programs and career pathing initiatives. Prepares analysis and reporting of leadership development efforts and results. May participate in periodic succession planning exercises and talent assessments to ensure critical roles are defined. Helps to create slates of individuals identified for leadership development activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited Professional 5 level position. Starting salary range: $69,597.00 - $78,674.00/annually, depending upon experience.
JOB SUMMARY Core responsibilities of this position include;
Responsible for creating, delivering, and monitoring training to LCCC employees including but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Supervisor Training, and customized training as needed. Perform training needs assessments and participate in training activities and special projects. Responsible for annual performance evaluation training, communication, and application. Provide coaching and counseling on employment matters to supervisors and employees. Conduct and document employee investigations. Participate in initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of human resources processes and lead specific improvement initiatives. Function as an effective member of the HR Team in the provision of quality service, support, and continuous process improvement.
Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.
