    What's the Short Version?

    The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for developing and maintaining technology roadmaps and identifying opportunities to enhance the technology landscape. This role works closely with Information Technology teams and leaders to define and execute domestic and global projects aligned with business initiatives. The Director is a hands-on technical resource and thought leader to IT team and key partners throughout the business. This role manages a team of IT professionals, oversees technology infrastructure and public cloud, implements IT policies, and ensures technology solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. They leverage digital technologies that foster an environment of automation and drive business value.

     

    What Will You Be Doing?

    • Implement a comprehensive technology infrastructure roadmap and transform business operations into a competitive advantage.
    • Lead delivery of key technology and infrastructure initiatives and projects across the full IT project portfolio.
    • Promote technology-driven innovation and advance the technology infrastructure strategy by developing customer-oriented products and services, platform systems, and cloud solutions.
    • Deliver major technology infrastructure projects and service improvements; ensure quality, performance, and security while maximizing ROI.
    • Mature the hybrid cloud model focusing on governance, cost optimization, cloud security, containerization, management, and automation.
    • Lead the transformation from an on-premises phone solution and implement a PBX in the Cloud solution with a modern Contact Center.
    • Introduce automation to manage a changing and dynamic environment to improve employee productivity.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan and conduct regular testing and drills to ensure readiness for critical applications.
    • Develop, track, and control the infrastructure services’ annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
    • Provide tactical and strategic vendor management, including relationship management, contracts, costs, and service performance.
    • Manage team performance through regular, timely feedback and the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of exceptional services and engagement, motivation, and team development.
    • Ensure IT governance and compliance with internal and external regulations, to include PCI 4.0.

     

    What Are We Looking For?

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems and/or related field.
    • Master's Degree Preferred.
    • 10 years of proven experience in IT leadership roles, managing and motivating diverse IT teams.
    • 10 years experience implementing enterprise technology infrastructure projects.
    • 7-9 years experience supporting hybrid IT infrastructure, systems, and software.
    • 4-6 years defining, managing, and migrating systems into Microsoft Azure.
    • eCommerce, distribution warehouse, contact center, and cloud-based service experiences are a plus.
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence change at various levels of the organization.
    • Commitment to customer service.
    • Strong empathy and emotional intelligence skills.
    • IT certifications (e.g., CISM, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.

     

    What's Our Offer?

    Salary Range: You`ll earn between $170,000 - $250,000 annually, depending on experience.

     

    Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 20% of base salary.

     

    Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 152 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off.

    Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.

    SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
