The Director of Communications for Tulsa Regional Tourism (TRT) is responsible for leading efforts and executing a communications vision and strategy to contribute to a compelling and consistent brand narrative for TRT and its four divisions. This role provides high-level press AND media services with/for TRT partners, develops long-form content including articles and blogs, curates and manages local journalist interactions including media interview requests and regional/national journalist interactions with/for Tulsa on the premise of selling it as a destination in alignment with TRT division initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Destination Strategy AND Marketing, the Director of Communications addresses the organization’s evolving public relations (PR) and media needs.
