    The Director of Recruitment Marketing and Communications is a full-time administrative position that reports to the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications and works in close collaboration with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and the Office of Admission. They are responsible for: assisting the Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications in the execution of the institutional strategic marketing plan; project management of all internal and external marketing projects, from the point of initial request through final delivery; content development, writing, and editing for a wide range of marketing pieces relating to undergraduate and graduate recruitment; and directing the social media content team.

    This position requires a proven track record of experience in marketing and communications, including skills such as:

    • Formulating and overseeing the production of integrated marketing and communications solutions in alignment with the Strategic Marketing Plan.
    • Creating individual marketing plans for programs or institutional efforts that are grounded in research, analysis, and strategy.
    • Staying current on higher education marketing trends and writing or producing relevant recruitment communications that reflect the institution's value proposition, assessing the effectiveness of those communications, and adjusting messages accordingly to maximize effectiveness.
    • Recommending and implementing segmented communications solutions when called for.
    • Writing content for various forms of marketing communications outreach, such as social media, websites, email, radio scripts, print ads, video scripts, etc.
    • Project organization, including inputting and tracking assignments through project management systems (Basecamp and Jira).
    • Overseeing project plans and schedules to ensure on-time delivery. Strong communications skills (agency to client) are a significant part of this position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage all marketing and communications projects, coordinating tasks for team members and serving as liaison with outside departments.
    • Oversee Marketing's project management systems (including Jira and Basecamp).
    • Develop original content, write copy, and direct social media and video efforts in support of Sage's enrollment marketing efforts including but not limited to: webpages, viewbooks, invitations, comm-flows, videos, and social media accounts.
    • Provide content expertise for admission/marketing campaigns, sometimes liaising with outside firms.
    • Edit and add web content through Wordpress.
    • Lead Marketing and Communications staff in social media strategy, planning, engagement, and content creation.

    The estimated salary range is $70,000 to &75,000 per year for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.


    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field, plus more than five years of marketing and communications experience.
    • Advanced writing and grammatical skills, as demonstrated by writing samples.
    • A strong understanding of integrated marketing and communications strategy and an ability to communicate in multiple formats including websites, social media, print materials, and video.
    • Excellent project management skills are required. Must be highly organized, deadline-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and with a group.
