Summary
We are looking for a candidate that will run day to day editorial coverage for our Local News TV station. The Assistant News Director must have strong news judgment and the ability to lead and inspire a highly talented news team.
Essential Functions
1. Implement and accomplishes goals set with and by the News Director
2. Identifies, analyzes and trouble shoots problems or issues in the News Department
Supervisory Responsibility
Reports directly to the News Director
Required Education and Experience
1. Strong news judgment
2. Minimum of 2 years if supervisory experience
3. 5 years of relevant work experience
4. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
5. Excellent Project Management Skills
6. Strong writing, editing and communication skills
7. Excellent attention to detail
8. Good follow through and follow up
9. Excellent Team Player
