Oversees the design and implementation of communication programs to support and reinforce organizational objectives and comply with regulations. Being an Employee Communications Director manages project deliverables and timelines. Ensures consistent messaging themes and effective content selections. Additionally, Employee Communications Director manages the collaboration with public relations or corporate communications teams to produce clear and consistent communications. Assists in evaluating and selecting vendors to provide support services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Employee Communications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Employee Communications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
