We are looking for a part-time accountant to join our team. We are a small dynamic medical services company. We have grown to the point that we need the services of an in-house accountant. You’ll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and ensuring that accounts are reconciled.
Responsibilities
· Prepare monthly, quarterly and year‐end financial statements.
· Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger and financial records.
· Payroll and payroll taxes.
· File tax reports and make payments in various states and contact state tax agencies as needed.
· Perform account, balance sheet, and monthly bank statement reconciliations.
· Track and categorize all expenditures, including business expenses of owners.
· Prepare annual operating budgets.
· Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
· Report to the owners.
Ideal Candidate Skills & Qualities
· At lease three years of general accounting experience.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required.
· Speak clearly, concisely and effectively.
· Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop, and implement project process improvements.
· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
· Proficient on MS Office and QuickBooks
· Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and strong organizational skills.
· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies.
