Summary
The Communications Director will oversee the implementation of both internal and external communication strategies, focused on political messaging and the critical Latino electorate vote. These duties include managing external communication channels, including a proprietary newsletter, LinkedIn posts and outreach events. Must be versed in public media relations, political advocacy and possess excellent writing skills for our bi-weekly internal and external newsletters and other key correspondence. This will be an opportunity to help shape the conversation on the ground and in the local media to help inform the public and political spending stakeholders about the impact of the Latino voter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for communication planning, organic content creation, coordination with allied groups, and working with media outlets to communicate directly with targeted constituencies and stakeholders about new developments and announcements. The ideal candidate will be strategic, creative, but also have analytical skills in order to interpret research findings into compelling audience narratives.
