    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Director of Communications and Chief of Staff will be responsible for coordinating and managing the essential activities of Company’s business, investor relations, making strategic plans to ensure all business functions are efficient and at their most productive. The ideal candidate will advise on projects and is the main organizer and planner of company initiatives, attending to up-to-the-minute details while staying attuned to the business operations. As Director of Communications and COS, you will work with and report directly to the CEO, relaying messages and ideas from other senior executive leaders to improve the internal functions and processes of the company. You must be a creative and results-driven thinker, an excellent problem solver and possess incredible interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and act as the central contact for all business communications.
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of the CEO and senior leadership.
    • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
    • Organize and coordinate staff functions and activities.
    • Act as a main consultant to the CEO.
    • Manage company calendar and ensure deadlines are being met.
    • Be a liaison for staff, chief executives, department leaders, and CEO.
    • Assist CEO with internal communication in addition to partnering with the SVP of Human Resources to attend to staff needs, ensuring any problems are resolved.
    • In conjunction with the SVP of Human Resources, keep CEO abreast on current company climate (employee wellbeing, project statuses, new proposals, etc.).
    • Help coordinate business-wide procedures and work to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success.
    • Attend executive meetings as requested by CEO and deliver progress reports.
    • Serve as liaison between staff, executives, senior leaders, and CEO, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.
    • In collaboration with the SVP of human resources assist HR department with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns.
    • Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of administrative tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning, and coordinating annual corporate meetings, and managing building management tasks and issues.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
    • Assist CEO in the development and maintenance of company investor relations plan.
    • Assist CEO in the development and monitoring of performance metrics for the investor relations function.
    • Assists the CEO in establishing the optimum type and mix of shareholders and creates that mix through a variety of targeting initiatives.
    • Monitors operational changes through ongoing contacts with company management and develops investor relations messages based on these changes.
    • Creates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors.
    • Handles inquiries from shareholders and investors, as well as others who might be interested in the company's stock or financial stability.
    • Under the direction of the CEO, coordinates the production of annual reports and annual meetings.
    • Manages the investor relations portion of the company web site in conjunction with marketing.
    • Monitors analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management.
    • Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community.
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with stock exchange representatives.
    • Assess the various patterns of stock-trading, often, but not always, as a result of public disclosures or any research reports issued by financial analysts.
    • Organizes conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings.
    • Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of the company.
    • Represents the views of the investor community to the management team in the development of corporate strategy.
     
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
    • MBA in Communications preferred.
    • 10 years’ experience in operations management.
