Emergency Room Technician provides clinical and administrative support to emergency department staff. Prepares patients for physician examination. Being an Emergency Room Technician measures and records vital signs, performs EKGs, and collects lab samples as needed. Provides wound care and assists with splints, slings, casts, and crutches. Additionally, Emergency Room Technician cleans, inspects, and sets up emergency rooms and equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Requires CPR/BLS Certification. May require EMT or CNA Certification. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Emergency Room Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Lisbon Emergency Response (LER) is seeking part time per diem (at will) firefighter EMT's.
Shifts consist of 10-hour days (7am to 5pm) also covering some night shifts. Pier-Diem staff duties include but not limited to Fire Suppression, Fire Rescue, EMS Services, and Equipment Maintenance.
Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications below:
-21 Years of Age
-Strong Leadership Skills Required
-Firefighter 2 Certification
-Haz-Mat Ops
-CT Licensed EMT
-Valid Drivers License CDL or Q Endorsement.
-Must be able to establish and maintain a good working relationship with the Volunteers of the Lisbon Fire Department, mutual aid fire departments, hospital staff, police departments, and general public.
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour for Firefighter EMT's.
