Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Full time EMTs needed for our transport truck at our East Lycoming substation 7 days a week. All shifts, flexible schedules available. Will consider 6, 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts. Must be PA certified emergency medical technician with clean background checks. EMSVO preferred. Pay is $15.50 per hour with EMSVO. Employee should be professional, able to adapt to changing situations and a team player.
