Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out.
• Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with customers, and get the necessary documents and permits that drivers will need
• Manage all loads and ensure delivery times are met with every situation
• Answer incoming calls and manage incoming emails to customers and vendors
• Dispatch work orders to drivers through dispatch software

Requirements

• Significant understanding of Michigan geography
• Dispatching experience
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work with different personalities
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• High school degree or equivalent
