Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of goods and materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems and possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers and vehicles for timely delivery of goods
- Monitor routes and track shipments using GPS and transportation management systems
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient operations
- Resolve any issues or delays in delivery by providing alternative solutions
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery times, and customer information
- Collaborate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth logistics operations
- Utilize GIS software to optimize routes and minimize fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dispatcher or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or AS400
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
