Position: Regional Director (Western Massachusetts)

Office Location: Springfield Office

Summary: The Regional Director provides administrative, clinical, programmatic and operations oversight of several adult residential programs supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. This region encompasses the following cities/towns: Agawam, Southwick, Westfield & Springfield, MA.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision/training of Program Managers in assigned region.
• Oversee residences in the absence of a Program Manager to ensure regulatory standards are maintained.
• Promotes a respectful and dignified living environment for all individuals at all times.
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Ensure all medications are administered within MAP guidelines.
• Must be willing and able to handle stressful situations.
• Must be willing and able to react quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Communicates with and provides advocacy for the individuals through contact with the families, day program/vocational programs, and other service providers.
• Promotes a positive and professional relationship with neighbors, community members, colleagues, and funding sources.
• Experience with DDS/DMH regulations and reporting procedures including HCSIS.
• Ability to Schedule and Supervise Managers and staff from multiple programs
• Ensure all staff maintains all required trainings/certifications.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere with various departments (Clinical, Nursing, HR, etc.) to achieve the best possible services for the individuals we serve.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure the development, coordination and implementation of ISP goals and objectives within the mandatory timelines.
• Monitor and maintain all financial and budgetary procedures including but not limited to petty cash, pay roll, and residents’ financials.
• Ensure compliance with all LifeConnections policies and procedures.
• Supervise and ensure all proper programmatic documentation is present and up-to-date.
• Completes the entire hiring process including interviewing and hiring Team Leads and Program Managers as needed.
• Provide supervision and evaluate work performance for assigned Team Leads and Program Managers.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent
• A minimum of two years of program management experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Current MAP certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Flexibility to work varying hours to meet the needs of the adult programs.
• Ability to pass an acceptable Criminal Records Check (CORI).
• Demonstrated ability to provide documentation and communication skills, as well as demonstrated organizational skills in an effective, supportive manner.
• Demonstrated physical capacity to be able to pass and implement PABC training and certification.
• Ability to pass all mandatory trainings including, but not limited to CPR/First Aid, Human Rights Officer, Fire Safety Officer, etc.
