Director - Co-Occurring Home
This position is located at our Co-Occurring Group Home in Midland City, Al
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm;
This position will require some on-call, weekends, evenings, and/or holidays as needed to meet program needs.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, organize, operate and supervise the complete day to day operations of the CoOccurring Program, under policies and procedures of SpectraCare while operating in compliance with the Alabama Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Division.
- Supervising staff, client development and safety; supervising admissions, discharges and treatment planning and coordinating with the system's clinical director concerning substance abuse and mental illness treatment of clients in the program.
- Preparing and carrying out budgets for the program
- Managing the resident finance program
- Providing therapeutic services to consumers of the home
- Partner with nursing staff to monitor the medication program
- Use an electronic health record system to document and maintain consumer records
- Position will require on-call status to include nights, weekends and holidays based on program needs
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related Mental Health field with successful completion of a relevant clinical practicum, or a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing with current ABN license
- Must have at least (2) years post masters experience in a direct service position
- Completion of a clinical practicum and a substance abuse counselor certification credential from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Inc.
- Must be willing to obtain substance abuse counselor within (2) years if not already certified
- Previous supervisory experience
- Travel may be required within the catchment area and/or statewide to meet program and training needs
- Licensure as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT in the State of Alabama is preferred but not required
