Email/Notes Group Director is responsible for all aspects of the email/notes group. Oversees the design, development, release, and maintenance of email application systems.     In your role as an Account Director, you will be responsible for the development of ongoing business relationships and leading key accounts at the agency. This position is responsible for overall client satisfaction, quality of service and on-time, on-budget complete of the agency services. The Account Director is the keeper of the brand.  You  must know and demonstrate deep category and client/customer knowledge to support the development of successful strategic marketing plans and client programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Overall growth and development of assigned accounts by providing key strategic initiatives, maintaining and growing client satisfaction and mitigating risk while working to deliver quality work
    • Takes a leadership role in brand strategy and creative development. 
    • Define marketing plans, advertising objectives, campaigns and budgets by consulting and directing agency clients ensuring that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules
    • Initiates, schedules and expedites agency work in an effective and timely manner
    • Utilize market research information to evaluate, adjust and redirect campaign(s)  having  the ability to evaluate, analyze and report out on all advertising activities
    • Development and implementation of client organic growth plans including establishing annual billing and revenue goals for each client and tracking progress 
    • Demonstrate strong business acumen. Responsible for adhering to client and project estimating protocols, forecasting/projections, and billing requirements/expectations.
    •  Responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction and engagement with the agency’s developing proactive business building ideas while nurturing and pursuing new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability. 
    • Remain in touch with the agency’s “day-to-day” business on behalf of clients – knowledgeable and conversant in their key issues, competitive situation, industry trends and the projects assigned the agency as well as other client partners
    • Demonstrate confidence, authority and level-headed decision-making as the agency’s voice on assigned accounts while exercising a prudent balance of client and agency goals
    • Participates and contributes to weekly departmental meetings
    • Strong presentation, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-positioned and thoughtful documents and presentations.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Contributes to and conducts performance evaluations, offers coaching and mentoring, and collaborates with SVP, Client Engagement to develop and finalize career pathing and training/professional development for direct reports.
    • Helps to develop and negotiate staffing plans based on scope of work and requests resource allocation for assignment 
    • Assures those you supervise are trained in and follow the agency’s SOPs, and quality standards.
    • Oversees all direct reports and approves their contributions 
    • Responsible for supporting leadership and enforcing quality standards within the team and agency at large
    • Identifies short-term and long-term opportunities 

    Ideal Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related degree required
    • 6 years of account management experience at an advertising agency required
    • 3 years of management experience
    • Strong understanding of advertising and marketing disciplines, advertising and sales promotion programs, media advertising, direct mail, trade shows, public relations, point-of-purchase and online advertising strategies

    Ideal Skills/Qualifications

    • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and generating reports using standard software applications
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals
    • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong business acumen
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is a must
