    We are looking for a qualified Service Director with two or more years of automotive dealership experience to join our team. The Service Director is responsible for overseeing service departments and for controlling costs, building clientele, maintaining employee relations, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives, and maintaining service records. He or she helps plan, train, lead, and monitor the performance of service technicians, advisors, and other service members to promote customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

    Additionally, the Service Director is responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of all service concerns of our customers and maintains exemplary customer service.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains the highest possible standards of workmanship; advises technicians of dealership CSI on a monthly basis
    • Leads the team of advisors, technicians, and all other service personnel on dealership procedures
    • Manages technician productivity
    • Holds weekly departmental meetings to help set tone for sales and service goals
    • Maintains daily required housekeeping in service department to promote morale and quality standards; devises and implements a schedule of training for technical, productive, non productive, and non-technical personnel
    • Develops systems of quality check of performance and tagging of special jobs
    • Resolves 100% of customer complaints within a timely fashion
    • Recruits, builds, trains, and maintains a quality service organization
    • Develops systems for quality checking performance and tagging of special jobs
    • Ensures that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
    • Develops standards of customer treatment and enforces their use; devises special processes for handling comebacks
    • Establishes and maintains an organized and up-to-date customer follow and record system
    • Becomes familiar with and proficient in Reynolds and Reynolds and all other dealership software
    • Works with Parts department as appropriate to ensure proper stocking of high use parts
    • Forecasts sales, gross profit, and expenses
    • Develops annual service plan for use in connection with annual sales and profit forecast
    • Generates and maximizes labor and parts sales based on true customer need
    • Communicates effectively with all customers in a manner that reflects positively on one's self, the dealership, and the product
    • Establishes sales and service quotas and manages overall goals
    • Trains, manages, and directs service team so that they can meet goals and quotas
    • Ensures all targets are met or exceeded
    • Manages inventory in terms of display, pricing, and aging
    • Provides timely and accurate reports on all service and sales activities as needed
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in dealership management
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Professional appearance
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to create and maintain excellent customer relations
    • Strong desire for above average CSI
    • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
    • Strong people skills in order to train, manage, and direct service team so that they can meet goals and quotas
    • Must be able to combine customer service skills with leadership skills
    • Must be able to manage and train all service staff
    • Strong computer and internet skills, including experience/skills with a CRM system
    • Must have a good grasp of internet processes and understand how to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising
    • Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
    • Must be able to pass a license/motor vehicle record check
