Responsibilities

As a Senior PCBA Manufacturing Engineer, the candidate will play a critical role in a facility that manufacturers Electro-Mechanical and PCBA electronics using state of the art electronic assembly practices.

The ideal candidate will deliver of high reliability electronic assemblies and fully supporting production. Candidate will make improvement of PCBA process development, process monitoring, risk analysis/mitigation, failure analysis, and interface with customer. Candidate will work with critical suppliers and an internal teams to ensure high quality and scheduled deliveries.

Activities

• Provide Wave and SMT production support in manufacturing for assembly process.
• Review customer documentation and designs for Manufacturability.
• Support SMT and through-hole production areas.
• Provide direct advisory support of manufacturing operations. Determine root cause of problems & initiate corrective action.
• Identify process improvements.
• Develop and maintain processes for: Screen Printer, SPI, Pick and Place, Reflow Oven, AOI, Repair Stations and Wave Solder.
• Production Line activities includes: fixturing, programming, ordering solder paste screens, tooling, quality data analysis & training.
• Conduct supplier development visits to evaluate capabilities and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• BSME/EE/IE and a minimum of 10 years manufacturing engineering experience within the Printed Circuit Board Assembly industry.
• Demonstrated self-initiator of product, process and product improvements.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working across full production floor with Operators, Technicians, Test and Quality teams and processes.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis
• Familiar with Box Build/System integration
• Understanding RoHS Directive & Lean manufacturing is required.
• The successful candidate should possess good verbal and written communication skills, and is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
