Exciting Electronics Opportunity Supporting EW and Radar Systems!!
Job Description:
• Participate in performance specification and tradeoff decisions to achieve full specification compliance in order to generate designs that are highly repeatable meeting cost and schedule targets.
• Design Power Conversion and mixed signal circuit schematics using CAD/CAE tools and interfacing with Design staff to complete layout activities resulting in comprehensive documentation and Bill of Material packages.
• Perform circuit analysis and simulation ensuring adequate margin against performance specifications and compatibility with next higher assembly performance.
• Operate general lab equipment including oscilloscopes and network analyzers to test, tune and troubleshoot Circuits to optimize performance in a safe, self-guided manner while documenting the results
• Work collaboratively with the other engineers to enable cross-functional teams to optimize product performance within cost and schedule goals.
• Assist Product transition from engineering development, through new product introduction and into full-rate production, including writing Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and assembly of the Circuits.
• Ability to support up to 10% travel.
Job Skills:
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 3 years of SPICE circuit simulation experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of RF amplifiers.
• Altium or other related SCH capture / PCB layout software experience.
• Experience with Product transition from Engineering to Manufacturing, including product documentation and authoring Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with key internal and external customers.
• A clear understanding of digital monitor and control circuits including microprocessor and microcontrollers.
• Proficient in writing and debugging firmware in "C" for power supply controllers.
• PCB/chip-on-board design, test, and layout experience.
• MTBF calculation and circuit failure analysis experience.
• Familiarity with designing for military applications.
• Active DOD Secret Clearance is a big plus.
• Working knowledge/experience of defense, aerospace, or the military organizations.
