As we expand our operations across our four Midwest locations, we are seeking a dedicated and versatile IT Support Technician to join our team!


    The IT Support Technician at Ag Express Electronics plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's technology infrastructure. As an integral member of our IT team, you will provide essential technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with the implementation and maintenance of various IT systems. This role will serve as primary IT support for two of Ag Express' physical locations: Sulphur Springs and Warren, Indiana.     Requirements

    Key Responsibilities:

    End-User Support

    • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via phone, email, remote desktop, or in-person.
    • Address hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues promptly and effectively.
    • Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of new hire workstations, including core software and applications such as Outlook mailboxes and Microsoft Teams.
    • The role of IT Support Specialist may require the following physical capabilities:
    • Ability to lift and carry computer equipment and peripherals weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
    • Capable of prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking to perform tasks such as troubleshooting hardware, installing equipment, and providing on-site support.
    • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to manipulate small components, cables, and connectors during hardware installation and maintenance.
    • Visual acuity and color perception to read and interpret technical documentation, diagnose issues on computer screens, and distinguish between various cables and connectors.
    • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to interact with end-users, colleagues, and vendors effectively.
    • Flexibility to work in various environments, including office settings, data centers, and remote locations, and to adapt to changing work conditions and schedules as required.

    Hardware and Software Installation

    • Order, install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. 
    • Install and update software applications and operating systems as needed.

    Troubleshooting

    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, email, internet, and other IT systems to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
    • Provide support for all Wi-Fi devices and connections, including configuration and troubleshooting.
    • Perform system maintenance tasks for networked phones, including adding hunt groups and device assignments, to optimize performance.
    • Assist with end-user login issues for programs including O365, Acumatica, and domain logins, ensuring seamless access to essential tools and resources.

    User Account Management

    • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in Active Directory and other systems. 
    • Reset passwords and troubleshoot login issues to ensure smooth access to IT resources.

    IT Security

    • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, malware, and data breaches. 
    • Conduct regular security audits and perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.

    Documentation and Training

    • Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and support activities for future reference.
    • Develop user guides and provide training to end-users on IT best practices, software applications, security protocols, and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

    Inventory Management

    • Manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. 
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain adequate stock levels to meet organizational needs.

    Collaboration

    • Collaborate with IT team members, other departments, and other locations to resolve complex technical issues, implement IT projects, and support organizational goals and initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
    • 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop hardware.
    • Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and other IT management tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • IT certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    The role of IT Support Technician may require the following physical capabilities:
