Information System Manager
Summary:
Responsible for the reliability, integrity, availability and security of the company's information and communications systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor adherence to Company and IT enterprise standards, goals, processes, policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure IT policies and procedures are documented, communicated, and kept current
- Provide status and progress reports for IT projects as needed with relation to area(s) of responsibilities
- Ensuring security of data and access to data
- Develop business continuity plans
- Build the team that supports desktop and server systems, local and remote users
- Ensure administration and availability of corporate IT infrastructure including:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft server and desktop operating systems
- SAN and NAS
- Microsoft Exchange
- LAN and WAN networking
- Telephony systems
- Various Business Systems
- SAP
- Responsible for monitoring all systems to ensure consistency
- Develop and follow change control procedures and schedules to minimize downtime.
- Responsible for server room security, physical environment, recovery of data center in case of emergency or crisis and environmental monitoring.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Work with department designees to architect and develop technical solutions that meet not only project goals but also meet long term strategic goals.
- Research new technologies and ideas that may have future beneficial impact and reduce operating costs and infrastructure costs
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members to ensure proper succession planning and knowledge sharing.
- Implement sound financial management, including asset management and operational metrics as tools for continuous improvement
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, or a closely related field. Master's degree in related field preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with 2 years in leadership role
- Strong leadership skills
- System Administration Skills (including but not limited to :)
- Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems
- Must have extensive experience in SAP
- LAN and WAN networking
- Administration of routers and VPN
- VMware
- Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage technologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to document all facets of infrastructure and keep this documentation current
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines; anticipate and work through obstacles to ensure compliance to deadlines
- Perform other tasks as assigned
