Electronic Data Interchange Specialist analyzes, designs, and develops specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps. Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners. Being an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist coordinates trading partner implementations and conducts EDI testing. Documents processes, data flow, file specifications, and mapping using standard formats. Additionally, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist may require a bachelor's degree. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electronic components
- Perform field service visits to customer locations for equipment repair and maintenance
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and operation of equipment
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues
- Test and calibrate electronic systems to ensure optimal performance
- Provide technical support to customers and assist with resolving any equipment-related problems
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electronics Technician or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and computer networking
- Experience in field service and equipment repair
- Proficiency in using hand tools for mechanical tasks
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
