GENERAL SUMMARY:
Serves as an internal expert resource regarding data management operations, including
programming. Oversees the day-to-day operations, personnel management, quality
improvement, and strategic planning for data operations including availability and
security of data assets. Assists with the development of operational plans and monitors
the progress and performance of data management and programming services for
research projects; to include service quality, data integrity, timeliness of deliverables,
and adherence to budget. Develops and implements strategies to enhance the
performance and capabilities of Data Operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serves as an internal expert resource for faculty and staff with regard to data
management and programming services.
2. Develops, implements and maintains efficient approaches to acquisition,
maintenance and characterization of research datasets available internally and
collected from distributed research networks, payers and other sources.
3. Oversees the development and implementation of workflow and operations
processes across projects. Monitors progress and performance and ensures that
services are performed in accordance with timeliness, quality standards, applicable
regulatory requirements and budgetary limits.
4. Collaborates with other functional groups, partners, and vendors, including scope
development and management of deliverables to achieve research aims and
departmental/organizational goals.
5. Devises optimal data collection strategies based on research aims
