Electromechanical Technician jobs in South Dakota
Electromechanical Technician fabricates, tests, analyzes, and adjusts precision electromechanical instruments. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electromechanical Technician may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electromechanical Technician relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. What to Expect:
This position is a part-time, 6 month contract, with work about once weekly.
In this role, you'd be inspecting GenSets for Google. GenSets include generators, mufflers and exhaust, plenums, fuel tanks, minor electrical components (wires & possibly circuit breakers), and generator enclosures (welding, steel beams, sheet metal, etc.).
Final inspection of units only, no in-process inspection.
What We're Looking For:
Candidate must be familiar with spreadsheets and tablets and be able to fill out required documentation (Google sheet, issue tickets, photo uploads, etc.) correctly and in a timely manner.
Candidate must be able to work on an ad hoc schedule, no set schedule defined.
Candidate should be able to respond promptly to service requests from Operations (PM and PCs) via text, call, and or email with short notice as little as 1 day prior for Mondays through Fridays.
