GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Monitors, maintains and repairs the electrical distribution system including the lighting system, backup generators and related equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs preventive maintenance of all building electrical equipment, making repairs as necessary. (65%)
• Responds to service and emergency calls regarding any facility electrical issue and/or device. (20%)
• Performs electrical work related to construction. (10%)
• Must demonstrate personal accountability for knowledge and application of DOH, Joint Commission, ICRA and National Electric Code requirements. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum

• Must have prior experience as a registered electrician working with commercial or institutional electrical systems.
• Valid local municipality electrical license as required by regulations

Preferred

• Prior Healthcare Experience.
