What You’ll Do:

• Ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment by completing inspection, testing, and PM requirements
• Must be able to work safely around all mechanical equipment (lock out/tag out procedures, confined space procedures, etc.)
• Locate sources of problems by listening to and observing the operation of electrical equipment using PLC programs, precision measuring equipment, tools and deductive logic
• Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling and reassembling the equipment in proper configuration
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust electrical parts, equipment and machinery to obtain proper operating conditions
• Examine parts for defects such as opens, shorts, insulation breakdowns, wear, burns or breakage to determine underlying cause and effect of machine performance
• Adjust functional parameters or programs to obtain desired machine operational results
• Provide electrical maintenance information by answering questions, filling out reports, analyzing information, and keeping track of consumed parts and supplies
• Contributes to the Maintenance team by accomplishing other tasks as needed
• Know and follow all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, DHEC, NFPA, NEC standards and company procedures

• Become Forklift Certified

To be successful, you will need:

• Degree/Certification in Electrical or Electronics Technology program
• 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industrial environment required
• In-depth knowledge of PLCs, relay logic controls, and AC/DC drives required (preferably Siemens but not required)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

We are currently seeking to hire an Electrician for our East Longmeadow Plant in East Longmeadow, MA. Reporting into the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties for on-site equipment.
