Additionally, Electrical Utility Trouble Shooter relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Electric Line Technician IV
The Electric Line Technician IV is a fully qualified Electric Line Technician. The employee will be required to diagnose and remedy the electric service problems of customers. Tasks may require other employees to work under the direction of the Electric Line Technician IV. Responsible for the activities of employees, material and equipment associate with work assignments.
Entry Level Qualifications
Must have six years' experience as an Electric Line Technician or the equivalent and demonstrate the ability to perform the tasks of the job.
Must have and maintain valid CDL.
Demonstrate special ability and resourcefulness in diagnosing and making safe electrical troubleshooting calls.
Performs variety of operations such as use of hand tools, climbing, operating equipment and vehicles under varying conditions. Requires moderate to heavy physical exertion, often under adverse working conditions.
Work involves the exercise of independent judgement within prescribed instructions and/or standard procedures.
The tasks require a high degree of complex responsibilities. Requires close mental and visual concentration, coordination, and dexterity occasionally in hazardous conditions for sustained periods. Performance of tasks requires extreme attention to hazardous conditions.
The employee often works alone. The work regularly exposes the employee to hazardous situations. Employees must recognize these hazards and work within the appropriate procedures.
Individuals are responsible for care of Company equipment. Also required to exhibit care while performing work on customer's premises.
Limited access to confidential information.Work requires regular customer contact and regular contact with other departments.
Works independently, often on tasks of a complex nature, with occasional supervision if necessary.
Responsible for direction on routine and complex jobs within the job scope.
The current open positions are located at the North Dayton Service Center and working a 2nd shift that requires working every other weekend.
Current work schedule would be work 8 days then off 6 days. Overtime available on unscheduled days and other times as needed.
Will be required to show proof of training hours and certifications.
