Experienced Full-Time Book keeper Construction Company:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting along with data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general ledger accounting, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as Foundations.

Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform general ledger reconciliation
- Prepare and process payroll
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Generate financial reports as needed
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial regulations

Skills:
- Proficiency in general ledger accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of debits and credits
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Quicken
- Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately
- Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process.
• Work with the project managers and provide detailed financial reporting to ensure costs, timeline, and budget of construction projects are accurately forecasted.
• maintain accurate Work In Progress Schedules for ongoing contracts
• Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software
• Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, and financial statements
• Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on time and resolve any invoice issues
• Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates degree in accounting, or business, or related field is preferred. High school diploma is required.
• 5 years of experience in accounting or full bookkeeping experience in the construction industry
• Experience with double entry bookkeeping
• Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, and communications skills are important
• Familiarity with construction accounting concepts and best practices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software
• Experience with Foundation Software accounting system preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
