    • You will prepare and evaluate installation energy metrics and conducts briefings to a wide range of people and diverse audiences.
    • You will develop and oversee the Building Energy Monitor program, including providing training and guidance.
    • You will coordinate training for design professionals, maintenance personnel, and installation personnel on energy technology and efficient operations.
    • You will recommend funding strategies and bundling of projects for execution, and collaborates with others to develop acquisition strategies.

    • This is a bargaining unit position.
    • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current registration as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) within 24 months of appointment.
    • Secret security clearance will be based on a T3 or T3R Personnel Security Investigation (PSI) in the performance of the duties of this position, every 10 years.

    Qualifications

    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing energy SME support, including Measurement and Verification planning and validation, during design, construction, and performance for energy projects; 2) Coordinating, conducting, and tracking installation energy audits and insures audit results are used in energy project development; 3) Developing, organizing and overseeing installation energy awareness campaigns; 4)Supporting installation leadership in complying with energy and water mandates and achieving reduction goals.     Examples of qualifying specialized experience include technical work in: drafting, surveying construction estimating, physical science, mathematics, aerospace, architecture, chemicals, electrical or mechanical systems, mining, petroleum, or nuclear systems.
    Experience in a trade or craft may be credited as specialized experience when the work provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and precedents. Examples are trade positions with substantial developmental, test, or design responsibilities such as:
    • Planner and estimator who analyzed designs for production purposes.
    • Instrument maker or model maker who performed design or development work on devices fabricated.
