Monitors project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to increase efficiency, production quality, and volume. Additionally, Electrical Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Electrical Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Electrical Engineering Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     About the Position:

    • Candidate will work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
    • Candidate must be able to collaborate and communicate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, process, and civil/structural), vendors, and clients.
    • Assist lead electrical engineer in performing electrical engineering duties, including equipment sizing & specification and power system studies.
    • Assist in development of wiring diagrams, schematics, cables schedules, and other drawings required for design.
    • Assist lead instrumentation engineer in performing instrumentation duties, including sizing and specification of instruments.
    • Check vendor documents and electrical & instrumentation documents being developed in-office.
    • Candidate must be open to travelling to client sites including refineries and chemical plants to gather information pertaining to a project.
    • Learn and apply relevant codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC) and various client standards.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
    • 0-5 years of experience working in a refinery or chemical plant and/or with a consulting firm representing similar industries preferred
    • Passed FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam is preferred.
    • Candidate must be willing to work towards becoming a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Louisiana.

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Extended periods of desk work, including sitting and computer usage.
    • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds when required.
