Electrical Engineering Manager manages electrical engineering projects and operations within an organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electronic equipment or devices. Ensures engineering projects are appropriately staffed and milestones are achieved. Additionally, Electrical Engineering Manager provides professional development opportunities and expert guidance to engineers. Draws on significant experience and knowledge to contribute to projects. Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Electrical Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Electrical Engineering Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Working as the Manager of Engineering, you are responsible for the overall management of all electrical Operations & Maintenance activities within the healthcare environment. You plan, organize, and control functions and activities of all electrical services under the scope of the contract. This position is located in an acute care hospital setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures
    • Meets with FM Director to plan, organize, coordinate, and/or communicate programs, services, policies and/or procedures within the electrical trade.
    • Monitors flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of workload and adherence to facility’s standards and regulations
    • Manages and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and other regulatory business appointments related to electrical infrastructure
    • Monitors work performance and prepares and/or reviews performance evaluations for assigned personnel (if applicable)
    • Orients new employees and provides on-the-job training to assigned personnel (if applicable)
    • Resolves complaints and disciplines employees, as required (if applicable)
    • Interviews applicants and recommends qualified individuals for hire (if applicable)
    • Plans, coordinates, and monitors construction and development of physical facilities related to electrical infrastructure
    • Reviews, evaluates, and recommends approval of plans for construction related to electrical infrastructure
    • Advises on structural changes and additions and/or modifications to buildings related to electrical infrastructure
    • Interviews independent contractors to receive and analyze bids, including blueprint analysis of proposed changes related to electrical infrastructure

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related fields)
    • Minimum of 3-5 years responsibility in the electrical engineering field or hospital electrical infrastructure
    • Should have proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions, sometimes under stress
    • Work whatever hours are necessary to maintain facility in a safe manner including nights and weekends
    • Good physical condition and ability to operate departmental equipment

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
