Electrical Engineering Manager manages electrical engineering projects and operations within an organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining electronic equipment or devices. Being an Electrical Engineering Manager reviews and approves new or revised designs, testing or installation procedures. Ensures engineering projects are appropriately staffed and milestones are achieved. Additionally, Electrical Engineering Manager provides professional development opportunities and expert guidance to engineers. Draws on significant experience and knowledge to contribute to projects. Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Electrical Engineering Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Electrical Engineering Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary:

    Works in Operations Engineering Department under general supervision of a degreed engineer to support cradle to grave asset management and life-cycle optimization of infrastructure electrical systems.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage requirements identification and prioritization for electrical utility systems.

    • Work with Operations to develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance program to analyze the condition of facility electrical systems and predict failures.

    • Conduct infrastructure system assessments and maintain asset databases.

    • Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and provide recommendations for system improvements.

    • Analyze customer work requests to validate requirements, estimate workload/material costs and make design recommendations.

    • Develop/update/manage Asset Management Portfolios (AMP) and sub-AMP(s) for facility electrical systems.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 10 years’ relevant work experience in Facilities Maintenance of electrical systems.

    • Associate's degree in engineering technology or vocational school equivalent.

    • Certifications appropriate for level of experience.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

    • Valid Driver’s License.

    • Ability to work in various weather conditions as required.
