* Delivering conceptual and detailed electrical system designs based on project specifications and engineering inputs following applicable specifications, standards, and codes.
* Liaising with other disciplines through work development; investigating, advising and resolving complex design and field engineering problems
* Analyzing problems, organizing investigations, and determining specific design criteria
* Assuring compliance with project schedule and control estimates
* Developing electrical basis of design, control and protection philosophy
* Preparing power management system specifications and defining interfaces with ICS
* Performing Power System Performance, Arc Flash, and Protection & Control reviews and studies
* Designing and producing electrical heat trace, lighting, power system deliverables including but not limited to single-line diagrams, schematics, panelboard schedules, load lists, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, installation details, lighting and small power layouts
* Preparing material requisitions for bulk electrical and electrical packages, collaborating with the Supply Chain Team as necessary
Professional experience/Skills Required:
* A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and registration with PEGNL as a P.Eng (preferred) or an EIT.
* Experience in an engineering design role with a focus on Front End, FEED and EPC scopes within the offshore energy industry
* Experience specifying and selecting electrical components such as starters, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, transformers, heat trace, lighting, small power, cables, glands, junction boxes, supporting hardware
* Experience with electrical room layout, equipment handling, cable management, lighting and small power design in a greenfield project environment
* Experience and in-depth knowledge of electrical design codes, standards and applicable industry regulations, including application in EX rated Hazardous Areas for offshore environments.
