Summary: Seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support electrical and automation control systems development, implementation, and troubleshooting in Assembly.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical field
Minimum 7 years of automation experience, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment
Extensive knowledge using Siemens PLC products; TIA Portal experience required
Strong CNC experience
Knowledge of city, state, and federal electrical codes
Knowledge of Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated, and ASI-Bus
Preferred Skills:
Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA
Knowledge of mechanical and safety codes
Experience with FANUC Robots, FANUC Vision, Cognex Vision, and Atlas Copco tools
Responsibilities:
Designing and implementing modifications to existing electrical, robotic, and PLC automation equipment to improve uptime and reliability
Reviewing engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility
Soliciting bids to improve or replace existing process equipment and coordinating activities with internal departments
Ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule
Coordinating major maintenance tasks
Leading others through troubleshooting processes
Managing supplier execution schedules for new process equipment
Working closely with IT department for continuous improvement initiatives.
