We are looking to hire aLandfill Gas Technicianto manage the landfill gas system and leachate collection systems at our landfill in Walnut, MS
Responsibilities include:
Ensure landfill gas and waste water systems remains in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
Perform routine system inspections and repairs on the landfill.
Work with Region Engineer and Landfill Manager to ensure compliance.
Maintain relationships with landfill employees as well as consultants, vendors, customers generating industrial waste.
Assist in landfill environmental reviews and audits.
Position Requirements:
Ability to follow established procedures with minimal amount of direct supervision.
Understanding of landfill gas systems and/or well field technology.
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, contracts, federal, state and local regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to prepare reports at the state or local levels.
Must be mechanically proficient on a variety of systems and field instruments.
Ability to collect data, interpret data and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
