Job Summary:
The Superintendent Electrician will be responsible for overseeing all electrical installation projects, managing electrical teams, and ensuring compliance with national safety regulations and standards. S/he will coordinate work efforts, supervise project progress, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and liaise with clients and management to report on project developments. The Superintendent Electrician will also troubleshoot electrical issues, develop maintenance schedules, and ensure all work meets the highest quality standards.
Essential Functions:
Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
· Meet and/or Exceed all Essential Functions and Requirements of S1 Classification
· Oversee electrical installation, repair, and maintenance projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and to the client's specifications.
· Team Supervision: Manage a team of electricians, including allocating tasks, providing guidance, managing performance, and conducting training programs to develop staff skills.
· Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all electrical work is compliant with national safety regulations and MTE Safety Policy and Standards, including managing safety audits and site inspections.
· Quality Assurance: Monitor all projects to ensure they meet the highest quality standards and client expectations.
· Troubleshooting: Lead in diagnosing complex electrical issues, using advanced problem-solving skills to find and implement solutions.
· Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly liaise with clients and stakeholders to keep them abreast of project progress, addressing any queries or concerns that they may have.
· Budget Management: Track project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of labor resources and efficient labor management.
· Maintenance Scheduling: Develop a routine maintenance schedule and ensure adherence to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
· Technical Expertise: Keep up to date with advancements in the field of electricity to recommend improvements and modernize electrical installations and systems.
· Documentation: Keep accurate records of all jobs, documentation of work completion, and materials used for future reference and audit purposes.
· Effectively coaches/mentors/trains all team members
Requirements Skills/Abilities:
Physical Demands and Working Environment
· Position requires working indoors and outdoors, while being exposed to all elements (Heat, Cold, Wind, Rain, etc.)
· Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring
· Lift up to 50lbs from ground and pull 50lbs of force.
· Fully squat, stoop or kneel for extended periods of time.
· Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while performing repetitive actions

· Work Schedule: Between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. May vary based on customer demands and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
