Duties include:
· Ability to read technical/architectural drawings
· Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to multitask with attention to detail
· Technically inclined to understand and explain construction project scopes of work
· Onsite Safety Superintend: verify that all work is OSHA compliant. Immediately stop any activity that places workers, property, or the public at risk.
· Run a weekly toolbox safety talk and be sure all onsite workers are in attendance
· Be the first person onsite and the last person to leave the site
· Comply with the client’s security procedures.
· Review contract documents and be thoroughly familiar with all job requirements
· Onsite Contractor Quality Control Manager (CQC): Implement all aspects of our CQC plan, identify unacceptable work and notify the responsible party immediately
· Verify that all work, equipment, and materials comply with the contract documents and approved submittals
· Onsite representative of the company.
· Measure, measure. measure everything! Confirm layout, location, and sizes
· Plan the job in advance, create the 2-Week Look Ahead Schedule every week, post the overall schedule in an area accessible to all workers
· Keep the project on schedule, and notify the Project Manager of any schedule problems immediately
· Assist the Project Manager in the monthly schedule update
· Maintain a positive and friendly relationship with the client
· Perform all submittal activities and maintain the submittal log
· Work with Project Manager on all RFI activities
· Assist Project Manager in tracking long lead time items
· Timely submission of each invoice's supporting documents (eg: daily reports, certified payroll reports, testing reports, etc.)
· Attend jobsite meetings with owner's representatives
· Hold onsite job meetings with all active subcontractors as necessary and attend the standard meeting, once every two weeks
· Ensure subcontractors man the project every day and with adequate forces, notify the-Project Manager of any shortcoming immediately
· Prepare correspondence to clients, subcontractors, and vendors
· Create Daily Safety, CQC, and Job Progress Reports Pursue resolution of routine problems or punctual completion of the project.
· Maintain photographic record of the project
· Maintain a clean and orderly job site
· Create and maintain the as-builts drawings at all times
· Assist Project Manager in obtaining the project closeout documentation
· Evaluate the manpower loading for the sub's and our own forces. Take the proper corrective action required to have adequate manpower at the site to keep on schedule.
· Keep employees and subcontractors motivated. Remember that this is the Team that will get your job done
· Maintain all government requires postings at your site in a location available to all workers
· Report all aspects of your project to your Project Manager
