Electric Meter Installer and Repairer jobs in Texas
Electric Meter Installer and Repairer tests, adjusts, and repairs electrical meters. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Electric Meter Installer and Repairer may be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electric Meter Installer and Repairer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the Amarillo, TX area for Xcel Energy and are hiring Electric Meter Installers. Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver's license and able to pass background and drug screen.
After the initial classroom training and field training, which will be the first 11 days of employment, employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn in excess of $18/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm (With optional Fridays and Saturdays)
