The ideal candidate for this position will have a positive attitude and enjoy working with customers on a day-to-day basis. The Appliance Delivery Tech is the last face that a customer sees in their appliance-purchasing experience, making it important to be dedicated to ensuring a safe, comfortable delivery and installation experience for each and every customer.

Pattersons Home Appliance Center is closed on Sundays, and on certain major holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Job responsibilities include:

Maintaining a safe work environment and taking into consideration your safety, the safety of other employees, and the safety of customers.

Following procedures and taking precautions to protect customers' floors, counters, walls, doorways, home, and other appliances while working.

Maintaining knowledge of our computer software system and other technology systems (training is included).

Providing exemplary customer service by building a positive relationship with the customer.

Communicating continuously with the customer by calling them to confirm their approximate delivery time, address, and product being delivered.

Efficiently and safely loading vehicles and checking for accuracy to ensure that the right product is being delivered to the right customer via the product's model and serial number.

Efficiently and safely delivering and installing appliances, including unboxing, cleaning, and instructing the customer on use of the appliance(s).

Assuring that all water, gas, and electrical connections are properly installed.

Completing necessary and accurate paper trail for deliveries.

Unloading trucks and putting appliances in designated areas.

Completing required training in the expected time-frame and participating in ongoing learning opportunities. Training may require off-site and overnight travel.

Following truck maintenance schedule and keeping a neat, organized truck.

Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and delivery areas.

Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and protocols.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Job requirements include:

Must be available to work Monday through Saturdays.

Must be willing to work as a team player.

Must be knowledgeable of appliances and installation.

Must have great verbal and written communication skills.

Must have strong computer skills.

Must have a pleasant demeanor, professional image, appearance and positive attitude.

Must maintain requirements to pass a background check and driving history check.

Must pass DOT physical.

Must maintain a valid driver's license with at least an F endorsement.

Must be physically able to pass a 50lb weight lift test and perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities as necessary to perform the job.
