    Accountability: Junior Achievement of El Paso President

    General Concept:

    Including but not limited to: managing, overseeing, and executing Junior Achievement (JA) programs, including the recruitment of schools or after school facilities, volunteer and teacher training and retention. Ensuring adherence to national JA program models and quality maintenance, meeting JAUSA program reporting deadlines, fulfilling all program grant deliverables and reporting, assisting in program grant writing (in collaboration with contracted grant writer and JAEP President), providing assistance with day of special events, sharing student numbers and volunteer info for annual student audit, producing education reports for Education Liaison and JAEP President and leveraging media to publicize and promote JA programs.

    Program Delivery, Volunteer Management, Grant Deliverables & Prospects: 80%

    Ensure program volunteer recruitment and retention by maintaining relationships with company liaisons. Proficiency in producing volunteer recruitment pieces.

    Organize and conduct volunteer and teacher program trainings and evaluations.

    Promptly reach out to interested company coordinators within 48-72 hours of expressing interest in volunteering with JA.

    Collaborate with teachers, administrators, CTE coordinators, counselors, etc., to secure in classroom JA program delivery.

    Arrange for the placement and scheduling of trained volunteers in classrooms, ensuring compliance with ISD background check requirements.

    Act as the liaison between volunteers and participating schools, overseeing all logistical aspects of program delivery.

    Procure program materials in a timely manner and invoice program expenses to various grants.

    File all class registration forms in the JAUSA database upon completion of each program.

    Recruit 20 to 40 new corporate volunteers from 3 to 5 new businesses, providing comprehensive program training to facilitate their effective participation in JA programs delivery.

    Utilize the annual JAUSA Corporate Business Partnerships form and leverage for local volunteerism recruitment efforts.

    Maintain open communication with the JAEP President regarding program issues and concerns, ensuring full transparency at all times.

    Grant Deliverables:

    Execute JA programs for which grant funding has been secured as outlined in the Memorandum of Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding (MOA/MOU).

    Ensure compliance of grant reporting requirements and deadlines including monthly, quarterly, mid-year, and/or annual reports as requested by funders. Meet weekly with the JAEP President to provide updates on grant status as well as upcoming expenses and deadlines.

    Manage program grant expenses in coordination with the JA President.

    Maintain adherence to national JA program models and report program numbers to JAUSA by designated deadlines.

    Annually update the JAEP Program Year At A Glance Sheet at the end of the school year.

    Maintain the JA office DropBox grant folder for convenient staff access.

    Coordinate with the contracted grant writer and JA President to share potential grant funding opportunities.

    Responsible for supplying the JA President and grant writer with achievable program deliverables and requested program documentation for grant submission.

    Assist in grant budget development for program-related activities to ensure deliverable expectations. Review grants with JA President two weeks before the grant deadlines.

    Prospects:

    Attend meetings with JA President in support of JA’s strategic plan to secure funding from school districts, schools and prospective leaders. Responsible for providing program impact statistics and ISD numbers as necessary.

    Review JAUSA Corporate Business Partnerships and move forward with those on a local level for volunteerism efforts.

    Education Liaison Updates: 5%

    Ensure timely updating and provision of monthly reports to the Education Liaison and JAEP President, encompassing program numbers, upcoming classes, and volunteer opportunities at least one week prior to Executive Committee and Board meetings.

    Student Audit: 5%

    Oversee the Annual Student Audit process by collaborating with the auditing firm and supplying requested volunteer and student information from JAUSA data base.

    Manage general records and correspondence with volunteers and prospects, including the development of a program satisfaction survey.

    Maintain comprehensive records of all class registration forms

    Financial Literacy Month: 5%

    Coordinate or collaborate with existing financial literacy events for the promotion of Financial Literacy Month (April).

    Engage with media outlets to enhance visibility and coverage of the event.

    Other-Focus: 5% of time

    Provide assistance with JAEP special events, including preparation tasks such as mail-outs, assistance with day of event setup, as well as being present at the events. Secure student speakers for the BHOF (Business Hall of Fame) event, gather 5 event testimonials from student program participants and secure student national anthem singers.

    Perform any other duties as assigned by the JAEP President.

    Other Qualifications & Skills:

    • Experience in the non-profit sector preferred with success in assisting with grant writing and grant management as well as meeting deliverables effectively.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, proficient at multitasking with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
    • Must maintain a positive attitude and adaptability as tasks may change.
    • Skilled in leading program education committee meetings (JA Inspire) and ability to engage professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and public settings.
    • Capable of fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and community members.
    • Must demonstrate the following qualities, including button limited to creativity, enthusiasm and self-confidence in executing job responsibilities.
    • Ability to work independently while also collaborating seamlessly with the JAEP President
    • Proficiency in technology, including word processing, spreadsheet management, and database usage, with experience in Microsoft Office suite and MAC computer systems.
    • Must have reliable transportation with a valid drivers license and insurance.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekends as needed. Additionally national conference and program travel may be included.
    • Required to lift boxed JA program material (up to 40 pounds).

    3 month and Annual Performance Evaluation: The Education Manager will participate in a 3 month probationary period review with the JAEP President, followed by an annual performance evaluation.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $43,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
