Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Education Director in managing educational services and supervising education staff at all Hillcrest sites.
2. Assist the Director with all compliance activity as required.
3. Establish efficient classroom structures and programming and provide coaching and support to teachers as required.
4. Determine, define, and deliver professional development including waivers, licensure and continued development.
5. Support and determine standardized and alternate curriculum as well as state assessments at all campuses.
Educational Requirements: Masters Degree in Education required and successful completion of the MTELs.
Experience: Knowledge of State regulation in learning standards, demonstration of pedagogical excellence and supervisory and or coaching experience.
Licenses or Certification: Special Education certification in teaching or administration.
