L
Director of Edtech Partnerships
  • LEANLAB Education
  • Kansas, MO FULL_TIME
  • OVERVIEW

Leanlab Education envisions a world where all children have access to effective and excellent educational opportunities.

We believe the following components are necessary to realize this vision:

    • Creating deep and trusting partnerships between technology developers and school/learner communities (students, educators, and administrators).

    • Codesigning emerging technologies with school/learner communities.

    • Evaluating the effectiveness of emerging technologies in partnership with school/learner communities.

    Theory of Change

Leanlab Education believes that we can accelerate educational outcomes for all students when those most impacted by education issues—the students, educators, parents, and administrative leaders—inform the creation of new educational technologies and solutions. We believe their insights and expertise will unlock breakthrough solutions in teaching and learning.

    Mission

Our mission is to launch breakthrough education solutions that have national impact. To realize this mission, Leanlab Education specializes in Codesign Product Research–our unique blend of participatory/user experience research. We are a third-party research organization that works with edtech companies as clients and pairs them with educators or schools to inform the development and evaluation of their products.

    Structure and Principles

We are a flat organization and operate day-to-day using a "team of teams" approach. Team members are high-performing subject matter experts and are trusted with execution of strategy. We place importance on impact and responsibility, not on job titles. Internal titles follow function/description of role, rather than hierarchy. Each team member makes their own plans and executes on them with a high degree of independence and autonomy. Because of this, each employee is ultimately accountable for the outcomes of the areas she or he owns.

    • Speak with confidence to relevant research methodologies and frameworks appropriate for the evaluation of education technology in public school settings (i.e. ESSA Tiers of Evidence)

    • Passion for education, research, and the potential of education technology

    • Ambitious and results-driven

    • Ability to build strong, authentic relationships quickly

    • Ability to foster trust and communicate clearly with diverse partners

Leanlab has a competitive benefits package and is an organization that believes in producing high quality work, while taking the rest and time off necessary to perform at your best. Leanlab Education’s full time employees benefit from a generous unlimited PTO policy in addition to four weeks of “office shut-downs”: we close our offices for the entire team the week of July 4, the week of Thanksgiving, and for two weeks at the end of the year.

This is an exempt, fully remote position with full benefits (health, dental, vision) and retirement plan with company match. Anticipated salary for this role is $100,000.00-$115,000.00 annually, exclusive of performance-based bonuses.

Missouri is landlocked and borders eight different states as does its neighbor, Tennessee. No state in the U.S. touches more than eight. Missouri is bounded by Iowa on the north; by Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee across the Mississippi River on the east; on the south by Arkansas; and by Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska (the last across the Missouri River) on the west. Whereas the northern and southern boundaries are straight lines, the Missouri Bootheel protrudes southerly into Arkansas. The two largest rivers are the Mississippi (which defines the eastern boundary of the state) and the Misso...
