Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. Books, Brushes & Bands for Education (BBB4E) is a Hammond-based non-for-profit organization that has been serving the community since September 12, 2000. The Midwest Youth Choir Level 1 is an afterschool youth music program for students ages 5-7.
We are seeking an instructor who exhibits the energy to provide children in an underserved area with exposure to an arts education. The program receives students from all across northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area.
Current students vary in age. Due to the program being grant-dependent, lesson plans, skills assessments and goals must be performed at the start of each semester.
Preferred availability:
Monday evening 5:30-7:00 during the school year and summer.
Summer classes begin June 3 at the Hammond Public Library in Hammond, IN.
Hourly Rate: Starting hourly rate $25-35.
Time needs to be recorded by the teacher and submitted in a timely manner. Teachers are paid biweekly. Additional hours (for recruiting, preparation, supplemental work) needs to be preapproved before completing hours.
