Education Director provides supervision and direction of nursing education programs. Develops and implements course content and curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. Being a Education Director remains current and knowledgeable regarding federal and state regulations. Provides oversight and day-to-day guidance to staff. Additionally, Education Director typically requires a master's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to senior management. The Education Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Position Summary
Congregation Beth Shalom is a warm, diverse Jewish community, located in the vibrant and progressive college town of Bloomington, Indiana. Our congregation is seeking a part-time Jewish Education Director to oversee the education of children and youth by administering the Religious School, family programming, teen programming, and PJ Library. With energy and enthusiasm, the Director will create a cohesive, nurturing, and educational environment that promotes Jewish values, fosters a strong identity and facilitates a connection to Israel. The Director will develop and maintain formal and informal educational programs that will impart deep knowledge of Torah, Jewish history and culture, Hebrew language, and prayer. The education will instill students with a commitment to social justice, tikkun olam, and tzedakah. The Director will bring a collaborative spirit in order to involve students, teachers, families, volunteers, and professional and lay leadership in the planning, programming and implementation of educational programs.
